May 12 ... MORE LotF ... 14 Days Remaining



OBJ

Students will read and analyze themes and symbols in Golding's Lord of the Flies and use this information to infer what the author communicates about human nature.

WARM UP

Make sure you have a copy of the novel Lord of the Flies at your desk and retrieve a copy of the study questions from on top of the Chromebook cart.

Continue reading LotF and working on the study/analysis questions.  We will have time to read in class - however, IF YOU ARE ABSENT, you will be required to read on your own time to stay on pace with the rest of the class.  Quizzes will be given on the dates posted below - study questions will serve as quiz prep and then later as the review for the exam over the novel (KEEP THEM AND KEEP TRACK OF THEM.)

May 5 ... PROJECTS DUE (20 Days of School Remaining)

Students will synthesize a creative product from their knowledge and analysis of Shakespearean literature.

NO SITTING AT THE TABLES TODAY - GET A CHAIR AND SHARE A DESK IF YOU ARE NORMALLY A TABLE PERSON.


WARM UP
None.  Read the blog and get the finishing touches completed on your projects and prep them for submission!


TODAY


  • Project Submission ... Due to retesting in the library, we will have to wait until tomorrow to get our museum exhibits set up ... but they are still due today.  Anything turned in after today, unless prior arrangements have been made, will have points deducted.
    • Part One Submission ... get a Project Card from the Chromebook cart and fill it out neatly.  Each class period will have a designated part of the room to store their work until we can set up in the library.  SHOW YOUR COMPLETED WORK TO ME (and make sure I mark you off as having submitted Part One) then set it (with your project card) in the designated area of the room.
    • Part Two Submission ... one copy of your QR code with your name and project title must be turned in to me (to the box on my desk if you didn't turn it in while we were in the lab on Monday).  Store the second copy with your project.
      • IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A QR CODE FOR YOUR PART TWO, IT IS NOT CONSIDERED TURNED IN UNTIL YOU DO.

  • You need to create and print out the QR code to direct people to where you've posted your Part 2 online.  The posting instructions are still below.
    • You may use ANY QR Code Generator you want ... http://www.qrstuff.com is one example ... but which one you use doesn't matter.
    • Copy and paste the code to a Word docunent with your name and the name of your project and PRINT 2 COPIES (One to turn in to me; one to display on Thursday with your work).



  • POSTING YOUR WORK FOR PART 2
    • How you'll do it depends on whether it's easier to use a school computer OR your phone.  Up to you.  But the easiest ways I could find are below ...

MAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING ... The due date for the Macbeth Museum Project has changed.  We will meet in the computer lab on Monday, May 2 ... then, due to state testing, we will not meet as a class Tuesday or Wednesday.  Projects (Parts 1 and 2) are now due THURSDAY, MAY 5 and will be set up in the library on that date.

That gives you a little more time - I expect to see that benefit the final product.

ANYTHING THAT IS LATE WILL HAVE POINTS DEDUCTED ACCORDING TO THE DISTRICT GRADING POLICY.
