OBJ:
Students will review elements of MLA formatting in preparation for editing and revising of persuasive research paper rough drafts. Students will use revising and editing skills to transition work from a rough draft to a final draft.
Students will continue to read and analyze Shakespearean Drama (Macbeth).
WARM UP:
CWoD ... EQUIVOCATE
TODAY ...
- Make sure to get BOTH pages of the peer editing activity from the Chromebook cart.
- You will rate (on a scale of 1-5 ... 5 being best) several key areas of your partner's paper. You can also make BRIEF comments on parts as you see fit.
- Find a partner to work with and share your research paper with them - you will get their completed peer editing sheet when they are done so you have some peer feedback to use as you fine tune your final draft.
- At the end, write a 4-5 sentence paragraph of your impression of the paper. What was strongest ... what was weakest? How could the writer strengthen his/her argument? Was the evidence used effective? Would this paper persuade someone who was unsure about the topic to adopt the writer's point of view?
