    Feb 12 ... End of the Grading Period

    ***ALSO ... if you submitted your research and/or outlines to EDMODO, you need to double check some things.  Several students still submitted Google Docs and need to resubmit.  Some students did not attach a file.  If these problems aren't fixed, I will have nothing to view to grade and the grades will go in as zeros***



    TODAY ...


    • RESEARCH PAPER WORK DAY - CATCH UP DAY!  If you are current and have everything turned in, Read over pages 340-343 in the literature book.


      • Rough Drafts, Outlines, and Research Info are past due ... but may still be submitted for no late deduction before Friday.  Friday marks the end of the grading period - any missing assignments will be entered in the gradebook at zeros on Friday and will face late work points deductions (per the SFHS grading policy) after that point.
        • ONCE WE FINISH THE VIDEO, YOU WILL HAVE WORK TIME TO GET ANYTHING MISSING COMPLETED AND TURNED IN.

      • YOUR ROUGH DRAFT MUST INCLUDE IN-TEXT MLA CITATIONS AND A WORKS CITED PAGE!!!

      • Tomorrow, we will be back in the classroom and will start working on Shakespeare and Shakespearean Drama for a few days before we start the final stretch on the Research Paper.  It will be good for us to get a few days' break from research (assuming you are on schedule with yours).

        • 1000-1300 Words for an A Level Paper
        • 801-999 Words for a B Level Paper
        • 700 Words Minimum for a C Level Paper
          • ROUGH DRAFTS MUST ... 
            • Be typed in MLA Format
            • Have an MLA style Title Page
            • Include parenthetical documentation and a Works Cited page
        • See the MLA SAMPLE PAPER if you aren't sure about an aspect of the paper - see me if you still have questions.
        • If you need additional resources for the HOW TO questions you may have, consult the following .. 
        • If there is confusion about requirements, refer to the handout detailing the layered curriculum expectations you received in this class.
      • The EDMODO window for submitting the rough draft is open!  Make SURE you click TURN IN for the correct assignment window.

      • Finish your Research (Notes & Sources) ... turn in when finished.  I want to see where you are on the paper and on your research.  However, if you add more research and more sources AFTER the initial grade is input, I will adjust the grade accordingly.
      • Finish your Working Outline ... submit through Edmodo when finished.
        • NOTES & SOURCES and WORKING OUTLINES are past due.  They must be submitted before you can move forward to the ROUGH DRAFT.
